Lost Coursework

In the event of the loss of all or part of a candidate's coursework it is sometimes possible for an award to be made for the missing work provided that:

  • The loss was inadvertent
  • The centre can confirm that the work was completed

The candidate should reproduce as much of the lost coursework as possible before the deadline for the submission of marks. If the work is lost through negligence on the part of the candidate and no marks are available it is not possible for us to make an award.

Subject to the conditions above missing coursework should be reported to AQA. Form JCQ/LCW (Form 15) should be completed and returned to AQA together with a complete break down of any available marks for the missing coursework on the Candidate Record Form if possible.

Lost Coursework forms can be found in the Joint Council document Access Arrangements and Special Consideration - Regulations and Guidance for Candidates who are Eligible for Adjustments in Examinations.
