Access Arrangements, both those delegated to centres, such as extra time and those for which application to AQA has to be made, such as the use of a reader or a scribe, have to be supported by written reports.
In the case of delegated arrangements the report has to date from some point in the secondary phase of education.
In the case of arrangements for which prior application has to be made the report has to have been written within two years of the date of the examination.
The author of the report used for this purpose should either be a psychologist or a specialist teacher with one of the qualifications listed in the Regulations and Guidance Relating to Candidates who are Eligible for Adjustments in Examinations published by the Joint Council for Qualifications. The list of qualifications is updated from time to time and the most up to date version is posted on the JCQ website.
