A-level Chemistry - five things you should know this term

Thursday 4 Jan 2018

Updated 12 January 2018: we've made a correction to the 'updated practical support' section below (we're still working on the updates to our practical handbook).

Let’s get 2018 started. We’ve put together a list of the five key things you should know to make the most of the term ahead.

  1. Updated practical support

Take a look at these and all the other resources on our dedicated practicals page.

  2. Technician advisers service
Make the most of our technician advisers service for advice on setting up practical work based lessons. Contact one of our four experienced advisers.

  3. Changes to our papers
In light of this summer’s feedback, we’ve restructured our papers to include more answer lines than on previous papers. This doesn’t mean that students need to write more to gain additional credit, it simply minimises disruption for students in the exam and helps examiners by removing the need for extra pieces of paper.

  4. Mock exams support
As you’re getting ready for first assessment, make sure you’ve downloaded our secure past practice papers and examiner reports on e-AQA. You can also find ready-made question banks for each topic at Exampro.

  5. ASE Conference 2018
Materials from the ASE Annual Conference 2018 are now available. You can see presentation slides from our workshops and other resources from the conference.
