GCSE English mock exams – we've got your back

Monday 6 Nov 2017

Great assessment isn’t just about getting the right answers. It’s an important step in every student’s journey towards their future.

To help you prepare for assessment in summer 2018, and to support you while you plan your mock exams over the next few weeks and months, we’ve brought together some information on events and resources that you might find useful – for both our GCSE English Language and GCSE English Literature specifications.

Summer 2017 exam papers

Last summer's papers, mark schemes and examiner reports are held securely on Secure Key Materials (SKM), which is part of e-AQA – where your students can't access them.

New Excel markbook

Use our brand new GCSE English Language markbook resource to help you record and track how your students perform in their mock exams. You can use it with any of our GCSE English Language papers.

Visit Exampro English to see interactive examples of real student responses to exam questions, highlighted and annotated to help you interpret the mark scheme and examiner comments. There’s also a free MERiT analyser tool you can use to track your students' GCSE English Language mock exams results against others across the country.

Feedback events: summer 2017 exams

We’re running a series of feedback events this autumn term that reflect on the summer 2017 exam series. Our trainer will take you through exemplar work and highlight common areas where students did well and less well.
