GCSE Science - five things you should know this term

Thursday 4 Jan 2018

Let’s get 2018 started. We’ve put together a list of the five key things you should know to make the most of the term ahead.

  1. Updated practical support
Following your feedback, we’ve updated our GCSE Practical handbooks. Take a look at these and all the other resources on our dedicated practicals page.

  2. Science hub schools network
Our popular science hub meetings will return this spring. Run by an AQA science specialist, and in partnership with our hub schools, these free, local twilight sessions offer networking opportunities plus materials you can cascade to your department for a consistent approach that will save you time.

Visit the science hub schools network page to find a free meeting near you and see the materials from the autumn meetings.

  3. Technician advisers service
Make the most of our technician advisers service for advice on setting up practical work based lessons. Contact one of our four experienced advisers.

  4. Mock exams support
As you’re getting ready for first assessment, make sure you’ve downloaded our secure past practice papers and watched our webinar where we help you getting the most out of the additional specimen assessment materials. You will also find revision support materials coming soon to Teachit.

  5. ASE Conference 2018
Materials from the ASE Annual Conference 2018 are now available. You can see presentation slides from our workshops and other resources from the conference.
