AQA – for the good of Education

AQA is the UK’s largest Exam Board awarding over half of all qualifications every year – that’s more than 3.5 million exams in over 7000 centres.

We are a registered educational charity, with no shareholders to pay and we exist solely for you, our customer and your students. We don’t profit from education, you do.

So what does AQA actually do?

We offer a range of academic and vocational qualifications, including the unit award scheme, entry level, basic skills, GCSE, GCE, applied GCE, and the new extended project. We’re also working with City & Guilds to develop new Diplomas. This involvement gives us a unique insight into just what is wanted from an exam board.

We offer students high value, reliable, fair and valid qualifications which accurately reflect their achievements and help them realise their aspirations in education and in the workplace.

They are affordable and manageable for centres and support current and future national policy. We work closely with teachers, schools, colleges, employers, higher education, government and QCA to promote the smooth running and continuing improvement of UK qualifications.

Supporting teachers

One of the many reasons we remain such a popular exam board is our unparalleled level of support. This includes meetings for subject teachers and exams officers, online support, telephone access to subject teams and other AQA staff, regional support officers and networks of coursework advisers

AQA is at the forefront of setting and maintaining standards in education while offering exciting specifications and qualifications that are attractive for students and teachers.
