GCSE Science: Using fieldwork to embed practical and working scientifically skills

This course which will explore learning opportunities around Required Practical Activity 9 (GCSE Biology), Required Practical Activity 7 (GCSE Trilogy) and Required Practical Activity 12 (GCSE Synergy). As well improving confidence in the planning and delivery of field sampling techniques, whether in school grounds or on a field trip, the course will propose that this common Required Practical Activity is ideal for developing wider scientific skills and to support the application of the scientific process already practiced in the lab to real world outdoor examples. Many synoptic links to other biology topics such as classification, evolution, pollution, climate change and photosynthesis will be emphasised.
