Links with AQA qualifications

UAS can be used with our English, Maths and Science Entry Level Certificates (ELC) and Personal and Social Education (PSE).

This approach can be used:

  • as a stepping stone towards achieving a full qualification
  • to accredit the work done by students who have not managed to complete enough units to gain the overall qualification.

low-achiever-icon-NEW6All students are different and in science some students find that there are some hurdles to their success. We believe that we can help support students' potential by offering a range of resources all in one location.

Entry Level Certificate (ELC)

ELCs are unitised qualifications designed for lower ability students who may not achieve a grade 1 at GCSE but which are closely linked with GCSEs to help with co-teaching. They're available at Entry 1, 2 and 3.

Many ELC qualifications stopped being offered after summer 2016 but you can still use individual units from those old qualifications with UAS. English, Maths and Science are still available. Talk to the relevant subject team or the UAS team for more information.

See the list of subject areas below for the units.
