Citizenship has arrived!

AQA Citizenship conference: a meeting of minds

AQA has developed the first ever full GCE in Citizenship Studies. To celebrate its launch, over 150 delegates from around the country attended AQA's conference for Citizenship at One Great George Street in Westminster on 25 June 2007

Yasmin Alibhai-Brown spoke passionately and eloquently about combating prejudice and bringing about change; Kelly Drake enthused delegates about their ability to play their part and make a difference. Mike Mitchell, Chief Examiner for Citizenship took delegates through the features of the new specification. Richard Demby of Whalley Range High School and Rob Pope of the Learning and Skills Network showcased good practice of citizenship in schools/colleges.

GCSE Results

The day provided a stimulating forum for discussion of contemporary issues in citizenship education as well as information on resources and opportunities for networking.
