e-Portfolios
An e-portfolio is an electronic store where students can keep and maintain their computer-based project work: word processing, spreadsheets, audio, video, etc.
Our new e-portfolio handling system (ePHS) enables schools and colleges to submit electronic coursework to us online.
We are the first awarding body to make an e-portfolio system available, enhancing our service to students and centres by
- enabling a wider range of materials to be submitted
- providing a quick, cheap and easy alternative to printing work and sending it in by post
- enabling you to keep the original work
- providing secure transfer
- delivering the benefits of electronic marking – moderation will be quicker and more efficient with real-time monitoring and checking
This marks a watershed in e-portfolio development by offering a new 'open' benchmark standard for all electronic coursework submissions.
The first phase allows open access to schools and colleges: regardless of your supplier or method of collection of e-portfolios, you will be able to connect to AQA, download your entries and upload your candidates' coursework and marks.
TAG Learning has developed this system for us. They can also supply a desktop tool to enable schools that don't yet have an e-portfolio or learning platform system in place to manage electronic coursework.
