New GCEs for 2008

GCE English Language and Literature A (2720)

AS and A Level

Introducing AQA's new course specification for English Language and Literature A for AS and A Level. This new redrafted specification has been designed to:

  • allow students wider choice from expanded set text lists, including works of non-fiction
  • provide the facility to choose whether to study the combination of prose and drama
  • offer the support and guidance of a consortium system for coursework and other specification issues.

The following information and specification outline will enable both practising Teachers and Subject Heads to be better informed and supported in the teaching of this subject, particularly if attending one of AQA's Teacher Support meetings.
