Teachers' Guides

A Teacher's Guide is available in this subject. A copy has been sent all registered AQA examination centres. Further printed copies can be purchased from AQA Publications Department. These Guides are not available on-line.

The Guide contains:

• An overview of the qualification along with a look at some possible curriculum models into which AS or A Level Accounting will fit
• An overview of synoptic assessment
• A look at particular assessment issues with four different assessment routes offered, with some guidance on course organisation if the course is taught as a one year option or as an intensive course for part time students
• Advice about course planning and course delivery including advice about how to help students progress from AS to the demands of A2
• An outline scheme of work for each module, along with a some detailed advice written particularly for students on how to present answers which are based on both numerical and written questions
• A resource list which has been devised on a module by module basis
• A section on how the specification can be used to deliver the main key skills
