This specification is being replaced by English Language A for first teaching from September 2008.

Candidates for AS units in January 2009 and subsequent exams must follow the new specification.

Minor Revision to EA2W, Using Language, June 2005

From June 2005 onwards EA2W will contain one production task and will be a 2 hour examination. The removal of one production task is designed to make the EA2W examination more manageable for candidates.

In total, EA2W will contain three compulsory questions and will be structured as follows:

• Section A - Language Analysis, one question:
• Section B - Language Production, one question:
• Section C - Commentary on Language Production, one question.

Please note that there will be no change to the coursework unit EA2C.
