2009 specification: for examination in 2009

The two tier mathematics specifications have been revised to allow for the withdrawal of coursework. The new specification for first certification in 2009 is available.

New, two-tier GCSE Mathematics

AQA, in common with the other awarding bodies has produced revised two-tier specifications for first teaching from September 2006 with modules available for assessment from November 2006. The first certification will be in summer 2008. In addition to this modular specification, AQA also offer a linear GCSE Mathematics specification.

Module results have the facility to re-use the results from the three-tier specification to the two-tier specification.
