• includes the Key Stage 4 Programme of Study
• is similar to the previous Double Award Applied Science

• concentrates on the skills used by scientists in the workplace
• provides progression to post-16 qualifications.

Assessment

• 1 ½ hour tiered paper containing structured questions – 90 marks
• 3 portfolio units
