GCSE/ELCNew GCSE Sciences – Teachers' Notes
Teachers' Notes
Teachers' Notes give the topics of the Investigative Skills Assignments (ISAs) and some suggested experiments/ investigations which could be performed by the candidates in order to answer the questions in the ISAs.
They have a shelf life of two years during which they may be performed and submitted for the Centre Assessed Unit. A Practical Skills Assessment (PSA) is carried out by the Teacher and the PSA mark together with the ISA mark is submitted for the Centre Assessed Unit mark.
Printed copies have been sent to registered centres. Materials for the Investigative Skills Assignments for the centre-assessed units of the above specifications are being sent to Centres' Examinations Officers on CD-ROM early in the autumn term. The CD-ROM is password protected. The password is being provided by separate letter.
If your centre has not entered candidates for AQA GCSE Sciences specifications in the past, but will do so for one of the new GCSE Science specifications, in order to ensure that your centre receives the materials, please contact the subject team on 01483 477 757 or by e-mail: science-gcse@aqa.org.uk
