Delivery

Delivering the EPQ – a case study
An EPQ Coordinator offers advice on delivering the EPQ.
Delivering the Projects is easy and we will support you thoughout the process to make sure you and your students complete the Projects successfully.
Step 1: registration
- If you offer any AQA qualifications then your centre is already AQA‑approved. Just complete the Registration Form online – that’s it.
- If you are not yet AQA‑approved, first apply to us for approval then complete the Registration Form online.
Once you’ve registered, we will allocate you your own Project Adviser, who will give you support whenever you need it.
Step 2: decide how to deliver the Projects
Our Project Qualifications are flexible and easy to fit into any centres' curriculum.
Step 3: allocate staff roles
You will need to appoint a Centre Coordinator and a team of supervisors to carry out management and teaching roles. Supervisors do not need to be subject specialists or senior staff.

Step 4: timetable sufficient hours
You can choose how to allocate time in your curriculum for the Project Qualifications, but you should include a minimum number of guided and independent learning hours, depending on the level of Project.
Qualification | Taught hours | Independent learning | Total hours |
|---|---|---|---|
Level 1 Foundation and Level 2 Higher Project | 30 | 30 | 60 |
Level 3 Extended Project Qualification | 30 | 90 | 120 |
