We are not planning to develop a new GCSE Design and Technology: Food Technology qualification under government changes to GCSEs.
The last exams for students taking the current qualification will be in the June 2017 series and there will be no further re-sit opportunity.
You may like to consider our new GCSE in Food preparation and Nutrition, which will be available for first teaching in September 2016.

GCSE Design and Technology: Food Technology helps students develop their creativity, with making of food products a vital feature of their experience of taking this specification.
This two unit specification requires students to develop their application of knowledge and understanding when developing ideas, planning, producing products and evaluating them.
This course has 60% controlled assessment in order to recognise the importance of practical work within this subject.
