Entry Level English (4971) (4972) (4973)
We have carefully considered the future of all our qualifications and have decided not to continue with Entry Level Functional English.
The last exams for students taking the current qualification will be in the June 2017 series and there will be no further re-sit opportunity.
If you need any support or have any questions, please contact the customer support team on the details shown below.
This course helps students develop applied skills in English, enabling them to get the most from life, learning and work. Using separate tasks, it assesses:
- Speaking, Listening and Communication.
The course is suitable for those who can show the outlined skills at the appropriate level.
Students can take components of the qualification in different exam series or all in the same series. All components are assessed by controlled assessment, enabling teachers to assess students when they are ready.
Depending on the demand of the task, Speaking, Listening and Communication tasks can also be assessed for GCSE English/English Language.
This specification can be taught alongside the Entry Level Certificate in English as the skills are transferrable and complement each other.
