English Literature (9710)

This specification develops students' enthusiasm for Literature by using a skills-based approach to study. A unit-based, flexible course, it is assessed by exams (foundation or higher tier) and controlled assessments. 

At Key Stage 4, the specification must be taken alongside GCSE or AQA Certificate in English Language. Post-16, students can enter GCSE English Literature as a stand alone qualification. 

This qualification counts towards the English Baccalaureate and the performance measures when studied with GCSE English Language.
