ELC specifications provide a different approach to assessment, co-teachable with elements of GCSE specifications.
Our ELC in Geography offers a wide choice of assessment units, giving teachers greater flexibility to help meet learners' needs. Assessment can be delivered either by externally-set assignments or a combination of externally-set and teacher-devised assignments.
Through coverage of both physical and human Geography, ELC Geography focuses on the geographical processes which shape our world. This course provides:
- a dynamic approach to exploring contemporary issues including personalised and independent learning
- greater flexibility to schools and learners, with shared ownership of the route taken through the course
- regular assessment of progress and development, with the opportunity for individual short-term target setting
- the opportunity to develop resources and assessment materials which are tailored to the needs of individual students.
