GCSE History (8145)

GCSE History B (9145) is the fully accredited specification for first assessment in summer 2015. The course helps students to develop their knowledge and understanding of selected periods and aspects of History.

This three-unit specification has been re-accredited in line with Ofqual's request that awarding bodies strengthen current specifications in line with revised subject criteria.

The specification requires students to develop their ability to understand, analyse and evaluate key features and characteristics of historical periods studied and the relationship between them. This course has 25 per cent controlled assessment.

This specification is particularly suitable for students who wish to continue to study History at a higher level.
