German (2660)

This is our outgoing specification (last exams 2017).
For our new specifications see:

AS German (7661)

A-level German (7662)

A-level German helps students develop confident, effective communication skills in the German language and a thorough understanding of the culture of countries and communities where German is spoken.

This specification develops an interest in, and enthusiasm for, language learning and encourages students to consider their study of the language in a broader context.

The four-unit specification requires students to develop their ability to write and speak in German with accurate grammar and syntax for a range of purposes and to understand written or spoken German in a variety of contexts and genres.

A-level German is particularly suitable for students who have studied GCSE German or the AQA Certificate in German and wish to study the language at a higher level.
