AQA offers four Religious Studies qualifications including two GCSEs.
GCSE Religious Studies A allows for a systematic study of a specific religion with options that can be chosen by the school. GCSE Religious Studies B is more of a thematic study of religion using an issue based approach to explore concepts in the context of religious belief.
Students studying either GCSE will be well prepared to study A-level Religious Studies - though previous study of a Religious Studies GCSE is not mandatory.
The Entry Level Certificate is on the first level of the National Qualification Framework. It is for candidates who are currently working below the level required to obtain a GCSE grade G.
