Science in Society (2400)

We are not planning to develop a new A-level Science in Society qualification under government changes to A-levels.

The last exams for students taking the current qualification will be in the June 2017 series, with a final re-sit opportunity in June 2018.

As an alternative, you may like to consider our Extended Project Qualification.

Find out more about these changes and which qualifications we are planning to offer in the future. You can also contact the customer support team on the details shown below.

Science in Society bridges Science, Arts and Humanities. Artistic and scientific thinkers alike will enjoy this course.

There are four units in the specification – two at AS Level and two at A2. Units 1, 3 and 4 are assessed by written exam. Unit 2 is assessed by the school with external moderation.

A-level Science in Society links with GCSE Science and Arts. Students who have studied these subjects at GCSE will be well-placed to study for the A-level.

The last January exams for AS and A2 were in January 2013.
The exams are now only in June due to Changes to A-levels.
