Entries, NEA and moderation for summer 2020 exams
Information on entries, non-exam assessment (NEA) and moderation for the summer 2020 series following the cancellation of exams due to coronavirus.
The deadline for entries, amendments and withdrawals for this summer series has now passed.
This means we can no longer accept any new entries, or changes, and will only issue grades for students who have been entered.
As an education charity our priority is helping students progress to the next stage of their lives and we’d never want to gain from this year’s extraordinary circumstances.
It’s too early to know the final cost of getting students their grades this summer, but if there are any savings we’d absolutely look to pass these back to you.
If you’ve already paid your fees, thank you. If you haven’t yet, please pay any outstanding fees as normal, in line with the government’s latest advice on continuing to pay service providers.
Non-exam assessment (NEA)
Students don't need to complete their NEA.
You also don’t need to send us any marks for NEA that your students have already completed, as we won’t be doing any moderation this summer.
The only exceptions are endorsements for spoken language in GCSE English Language and practicals in A-level Biology, Chemistry and Physics – where we'll be asking for predicted grades as part of the awarding process for summer 2020.
With schools closed and the government asking everyone to stay indoors, moderation visits for summer 2020 will not be going ahead. If you are a moderator or examiner, please do not visit any centres.
If you have media material from a school or college that has already been marked, please hold onto this until we send further instructions.
