GCSE resits

As set out in Ofqual's GCSE subject level conditions and requirements for English Language and Maths; only students who were at least 16 years old on 31 August 2019 will be able to resit exams in the November 2019 series.

Outgoing AS and A-level

As teaching begins for exams in June 2020, this is a reminder that the following subjects are available as a final resit opportunity only:

  • AS and A-level Bengali (2635)
  • AS and A-level Modern Hebrew (2675)
  • AS and A-level Panjabi (2680)
  • AS and A-level Polish (2685)

To resit these exams, students must have taken them previously or have a good reason why they didn't take them originally (such as illness).

Please note that there is no reformed AS specification for the following subjects, and only an A-level specification is available for first sitting in June 2020:

  • A-level Bengali (7637)
  • A-level Modern Hebrew (7672)
  • A-level Panjabi (7682)
  • A-level Polish (7687)

In both of these cases, we will be monitoring entries. Where students don’t meet these requirements, we’ll contact you.
