GCSE Music (8271) specification changes

We’ve updated our GCSE Music (8271) specification to replace the current study pieces with new pieces for each Area of Study. The change affects first teaching in September 2020 for exams in summer 2022.
We’ve made the change so that we can ensure the validity and reliability of questions for the lifetime of the specification.
The updated pdf specification (version 1.4) can be found on our qualfications page. We have flagged any changes on the web version of our specification in the subject content, where they are highlighted as ‘updated’ in an orange box. Additional specimen questions and mark schemes will be available from Spring term 2020.
