Course summary
Following on from the renewed Key Stage 2 and 3 frameworks, the new GCSE brings increased focus on grammatical knowledge and a student's ability to manipulate a language. This course will help you make an impact with your grammar teaching and empower your students to learn key language structures effectively by exploring motivational and engaging ways to teach grammar and to build on and consolidate language learnt at Key Stage 3. You will explore how to use translation as a vehicle for testing grammar and how to build grammar and translation into your schemes of work from year 7.The course will provide examples and resources in French and Spanish which can easily be transferred to another language.
