2 | melt the wax in a double boiler | Summary sheet |
3 | cut a piece of wick to double the desired length | Summary sheet |
4 | attach appropriate weights to the ends of the wick | Summary sheet |
5 | pinch the wick in the middle and let the ends of the wick hang down | Summary sheet |
6 | dip the ends into the wax | Summary sheet |
7 | dip into a bowl of water to ‘set' the wax | Summary sheet |
8 | shake off any excess water | Summary sheet |
9 | repeat the water-wax-dipping-cycle until the candle reaches the desired thickness | Summary sheet |
10 | cut the bottom of the candle off to remove the weights and create a flat bottom | Summary sheet |
