4. mark the position of the door hinges

5. support the weight of the car door

6. remove the restraint strap bolts and the hinge fixing bolts

7. carefully lift the door away

8. place the door on supports and pack to correct height in order to refit

9. position the hinges where marked and replace the bolts

10. reattach the door restraint strap

11. reconnect the door electrics

12. carefully test close the door, checking the panel gaps and locking mechanism, making adjustments if necessary
