Following Ofqual’s announcement about summer 2021, here are the changes you need to know about.
Please note: these changes apply to summer 2021 only.
Submitting information/forms and demonstrating key skills
You’re no longer required to submit the time log, Programming Project Declaration or Candidate Record Form to us for summer 2021.
Programming skills are integral to Computer Science and are an essential part of the course. The computational thinking and problem solving skills that the Programming project develops are assessed in Paper 1.
No other changes
There are no changes to the specification content and no changes to either the Paper 1 or Paper 2 assessment.
The Programming Project still has to be completed by students. As 20 hours no longer needs to be set aside for the delivery of the project, you’ll have more time for teaching and exam preparation. You must still be able to authenticate the work of each student as their own.
