Panjabi (2680)
This specification is no longer being taught or examined. It's here for reference only. For the current specification, see: A-level Panjabi (Listening, Reading, Writing)
A-level Panjabi helps students develop confident, effective reading and writing skills in Panjabi and an understanding of the culture of countries and communities where Panjabi is spoken. It develops an awareness and understanding of the contemporary society, cultural background and heritage of the region where the language is spoken.
This two-unit specification requires students to develop their ability to read and write in Panjabi with accurate grammar for a range of purposes and to understand written Panjabi in a variety of contexts and genres.
This course is particularly suitable for students who have studied GCSE Panjabi and who wish to study Panjabi at a higher level.
