Access arrangements, including modified question papers, enable students with special educational needs, disabilities or temporary injuries to take our exams and assessments.
How to apply for access arrangements
For most qualifications, exams officers can apply for access arrangements for their students in e-AQA.
For other qualifications, including our Tech-level vocational qualifications, you can’t apply for access arrangements online. Please refer to page 2 of the JCQ Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments regulations, as there are some arrangements that you need to apply for, and some you don’t.
If you need to apply, please use the relevant JCQ form for Access Arrangements, Reasonable Adjustments and Special Consideration.
The last date to apply for access arrangements for the November 2017 series is 4 October 2017.
If you are a student, parent, private candidate or guardian, please discuss and make arrangements with the exams officer at your school or college.
For more information see JCQ's Access Arrangements, Reasonable Adjustments and Special Consideration

For students with language difficulties
We don't produce modified language question papers. All our standard papers are checked for accessible language, according to the guidelines published by the British Association of Teachers of the Deaf (BATOD).
How to order modified question papers
From the June 2018 exam series and onwards, schools/colleges will no longer need to make requests for electronic copies of either our standard of large print question papers for students with special requirements through Access Arrangements Online (AAO).
A non-interactive PDF of the question paper will be available to download one hour before the published start time of the exam from e-AQA secure key materials, using the 'Day of the exam' tab.
Hard copies of our modified large print question papers should be ordered in the normal way through e-AQA.
Electronic or other formats may be available. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your requirements.
Modified past papers
Some 18-point modified enlarged past papers are available on our modified past question paper finder.
If you are looking for past papers in Braille, please contact the Braille Examination Transcription Service (BETS) for their online past papers ordering service.
If the paper you are looking for is not available through BETS or our past paper finder, please contact us at ModifiedAssessments@aqa.org.uk
