November 2019 exam series contingency plans
Thursday 17 Oct 2019
In advance of the November 2019 exam series, we’d like to remind you that all schools and colleges must have contingency plans in place to cope with localised or widespread disruptions such as adverse weather or major transport delays.
There are three main categories of disruption:
- students at risk of being unable to take exams where schools/colleges remain open
- schools/colleges at risk of being unable to open, specifically to run exams during the exam period
- problems returning question papers to awarding organisations.
The JCQ has produced a new Notice to Centres with guidance on each of these scenarios to help support your final preparations.
