Changes to summer 2021 question papers and updated SAMs
Published: Wednesday 3 Jun 2020
We’ve made a minor change to the wording in Section B Question 9.1 (the 4-mark question on Noughts and Crosses) for our GCSE Drama (8261/W) summer 2021 question paper.
This question now describes the play as ‘contemporary dystopian’ rather than ‘contemporary epic’ as used in past papers and allows students to demonstrate greater creativity and further scope to write about what they know and understand.
The specimen assessment materials (SAMs) have been updated to reflect the changes we’ve made to Section B set texts for assessment from 2022 onwards. The updated SAMs can be found on the secure key materials (SKM) area of our secure extranet, e-AQA.
