Arrangements for autumn 2020 Mathematics exam series

Published: Friday 14 Aug 2020

The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) has confirmed that any student unable to receive a calculated result in summer 2020 and others who would like to improve their grades will have an opportunity to take the full suite of GCSE, AS and A-level exams in the autumn.

We know that some of your students may be considering taking AS, A-level Maths, Further Maths or Level 3 Mathematical Studies and we’d like to clarify a few points relating to how the autumn series assessment will work.

Level 3 Mathematical Studies (1350)

If you’re entering students for Level 3 Mathematical Studies in the autumn series, please note that the preliminary material is available on the secure key materials (SKM) area of our secure website, e-AQA. This is the same preliminary material that we issued for the summer exam which was cancelled

AS and A-level Maths (7356, 7357)
AS and A-level Further Maths (7366, 7367)

If you’re entering students for AS, A-level Maths or Further Maths in the autumn series, a reminder that each student will need a ‘clean’, ie not written on, copy of the relevant AQA Formulae and Statistical Tables booklet in the exam.

Copies of the AS and A-level Maths and AS and A-level Further Maths booklet can be downloaded from assessment resources on the subject pages of our website. You can also order fresh exam copies from us, if required.

For teachers, you can order additional copies of the booklet for classroom use, if required, but these should not be used in the exam.

You can start to make November series entries from A-level results day. The deadline to submit AS, A-level and Level 3 Mathematics Studies entries is 4 September.

Latest versions of the November 2020 timetables can be found on our website.
