GCSE English Language: spoken language endorsement for November 2023

For the November 2023 spoken language (8700/C) exams, all schools and colleges are required to submit audio-visual recordings of the presentations of a sample of any new learners who do not currently have an endorsed grade or wish to improve their grade.

Learners may carry forward the spoken language endorsement if they’ve previously been graded alongside a GCSE English Language certification with any awarding body. We have more information about carrying forward endorsement grades on our 'Carry forward of marks' page.

The deadline to submit internally-assessed grades for the GCSE English spoken language is 5 November 2023.
