Published: Monday 12 Jul 2021
Ofqual has published the arrangements for non-exam assessment (NEA) and fieldwork for students entering for exams in 2022. Here are the changes to GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition you need to know about for summer 2022:
- NEA 1: Food Investigation has been removed from the qualification
- For NEA 2 Section D: Making the final dishes – we require students to complete two dishes within the single three-hour time slot
- For NEA 2 Section B: Demonstrating technical skills – students will need to showcase their technical skills when making a maximum of three dishes.
We’ve further NEA guidance on our website. Remember, your allocated NEA adviser is also available if you need any help or support.
Ofqual is planning a consultation on summer 2022 towards the end of this term. We’ll provide further updates and guidance about the summer 2022 exams as soon as we are able to.
