GCSE Science: equations sheets for 2023
Published: Friday 13 Jan 2023
Back in September 2022, the government confirmed that students should still get support in GCSE mathematics, physics and combined science with formulae and equations sheets. Ofqual launched a consultation on the plans for formulae and equations sheets in summer 2023. The consultation decisions can be found on their website.
For 2023 only, an equations sheet will be provided in the exam for GCSE Physics, GCSE Combined Science: Trilogy and GCSE Combined Science: Synergy. The equations sheet lists all the equations set out in the specification appendix B.
The equations sheet for 2023 is the same one which was used in the June 2022 exams.
You can find the equations sheet for GCSE Physics, GCSE Combined Science: Trilogy and GCSE Combined Science: Synergy in 'Assessment resources' on our science qualifications pages (also available in large print).
This sheet can be used now for revision and exam practice, and will also be provided as an insert with the separate Physics (8463) papers 1 and 2, Combined Science: Trilogy Physics (8464) papers 1 and 2 and all four Combined Science: Synergy (8465) question papers.
