READING FOR PLEASURE (UNIT 3)

Level: Pre-Entry Level

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to 1. communicate their understanding of a story being read to them, through appropriate responses, ie laughing at a funny part or showing empathy for a character	Summary sheet
2. participate in the reading of at least two stories, ie through joining in with familiar stories through signing, vocalising or using switches	Summary sheet
3. sequence at least three illustrations or symbols from the book to retell the story	Summary sheet and Student completed work
experienced 4. a seasonal story	Summary sheet
5. being part of role play activities from a story	Summary sheet
6. a fairy-tale or fable.	Summary sheet
