2. add numbers vertically, where 'carrying is needed

3. subtract numbers which have been set out vertically, where borrowing is needed

4. multiply numbers with at least two digits by a single digit, which have been set out vertically, using the short multiplication written method

5. use the written method for dividing numbers by a single digit.
