Review of Tech levels: societal consequences of discontinuation

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to provide information on the societal consequences of discontinuing Tech levels, a Level 3 vocational qualification. It is divided into three sections:

  • a brief literature review of the educational and employment outcomes of those who take Level 3 vocational qualifications
  • a quantitative analysis of information about who takes Tech levels and a summary of how well they match up with T levels in terms of content and geographical availability
  • recommendations and points for consideration.
