Become a Student Advisor

If you're a student, join us and help to shape the future of exams.

Join our Student Advisory Group

By joining our Student Advisory Group (SAG), you’ll be one of a small group of students from different educational backgrounds across England.

You’ll meet with other members, AQA colleagues and Trustees to:

  • give young learners a voice in the exam system
  • provide valuable insights and student views on key areas of assessment
  • help us make important decisions about the future of exams.

What you'll be doing

As a Student Advisor, you will be expected to:

  • attend three meetings a year at AQA offices (we have sites in Manchester, London, Milton Keynes and Guildford) – travel will be arranged for you
  • read the meeting papers that are sent to you ahead of each meeting

You’ll also have the chance to be part of focus groups, speak at conferences and other events, and be part of other exciting opportunities through AQA.

"It is a unique and privileged opportunity to chair the Student Advisory Group. We work closely with AQA, representing students up and down the UK. As a community of passionate young people, we genuinely feel that we are shaping the future of education. AQA colleagues act on our feedback and make our voices heard, demonstrating AQA's commitment to supporting its students. I look forward to everything we will achieve together in the future!"
