Course summary

This course has been designed to enhance and expand EDI representation in Art and Design and your repertoire of artists and artworks for delivery in the classroom to GCSE and A-level students. 

As part of our AQA support offer to teachers, the module will be available for you to access as many times as you wish until 31 July 2024.

Please note that this course does not contain any information about assessment for Summer 23.

Course description

The course will:

Focus on presenting communities that have been marginalised through race discrimination or white oversight. 
Capture more great artists and is designed to stimulate young minds into knowing that they are valid and valued and whatever background or circumstance; every great artist is as relevant as any other.
Contextualise the lives of these artists alongside their work, allowing for inclusion, diversity and cultural capital to become a fundamental part of all your students' art studies.
Stimulate conversations, make connections and give contextual references.
