In successfully completing this unit, the learner will haveEvidence needed

demonstrated the ability to

1. independently select and wear at least two pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE) relating to bulb planting activities

2. identify and correctly select at least two tools or pieces of equipment related to bulb planting operations

3. work safely with the tools needed to naturalise bulbs

4. prepare the planting area correctly and select an appropriate organic matter to aid establishment

5. select at least two appropriate bulbs for planting and identify two bulbs that are poor in quality or condition

6. handle the bulbs correctly without damaging the outer layers, whilst planting them at an appropriate spacing and depth as instructed
