Unit Award Scheme

demonstrated the ability to

1. identify and use the safety equipment required to ride an ATV

2. mount and dismount the ATV safely

3. identify and use all the ATV controls correctly

4. move off correctly with the appropriate observation

5. stop correctly and safely with and without brakes

6. turn left and right safely using the correct body position

7. ride up and down a sloping terrain using the correct body position

8. reverse the ATV as part of a five point turn

9. park and leave the ATV in a safe manner

10. be aware of the movements of other riders when riding the ATV.
