In successfully completing this unit, the learner will haveEvidence needed

demonstrated the ability to

1. use standard units of mass, length, time, money and other measures (including standard compound measures) using decimal quantities where appropriate, on at least two occasions

2. estimate answers to at least two given problems relating to measures and accuracy

3. check calculations using approximation and estimation, including answers obtained using technology, on at least two occasions

4. round given numbers and measures to an appropriate degree of accuracy, eg to a specified number of decimal places or significant figures.
