In successfully completing this unit, the learner will haveEvidence needed

demonstrated the ability to

1. work with given coordinates in all four quadrants

2. plot at least two graphs of equations that correspond to straight line graphs in the coordinate plane

3. identify and interpret gradients and intercepts of linear functions graphically and algebraically on at least two occasions

4. recognise, sketch and interpret at least two graphs of linear functions and quadratic functions

5. plot and interpret at least two graphs, including graphs of non standard functions in real contexts, to find approximate solutions to problems, eg simple kinematic problems involving distance, speed and acceleration.
