CREATING NON-CHRONOLOGICAL REPORTS WITH SUPPORT

Level: Pre-Entry Level

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to 1. engage with at least two different types of report texts, eg non-chronological report, newspaper article, book review, spider diagram	Summary sheet
2. organise a non-chronological report by locating and positioning different elements of the text, eg title, pictures, diagrams, captions, bullet points	Summary sheet
3. make purposeful marks to enhance a non-chronological report, eg choosing font, text colour, highlighting, underlining	Student completed work and/or photograph(s)
4. select, recognise or read a small number of words or symbols related to non-chronological reports	Summary sheet
5. select at least two pictures, photos, drawings or cartoons to enhance a non-chronological report	Summary sheet
6. choose a sensory item to enhance a non-chronological report reading experience	Summary sheet
